Vibe Coders Hackathon

A build weekend for people who ship with agents — a queue of tickets, a fleet of Workers, and one human steering the lot. We're putting it together now.

Coming soon — details to be announced

A hackathon for how people build now

Most hackathons still assume one person, one editor, one branch, and a lot of coffee. That stopped being what building looks like. The bottleneck moved: writing the code got cheap, and running, reviewing, and shipping what the agents wrote is where the weekend actually goes.

So that's what this one is scored on — what you got merged and running, not how much of it you typed.

What we're planning

Nothing below is locked, but this is the shape we're building toward and it isn't likely to move much.

Agents are the point, not the cheat
Bring whatever you already run — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot. Nobody is going to ask you how much of it you typed. The interesting question is how much you got reviewed, merged, and running.
Ship it, don't slide it
The thing being judged is working software behind a URL, with the commits to match. A deck describing what you would have built if the weekend were longer is not an entry.
Any stack, any repo
Start from an empty directory or bring the half-finished thing you've been meaning to get back to. There's no sanctioned framework and no theme you have to shoehorn.
Parallel, not frantic
The format rewards running several tickets at once and keeping them all shippable — the way Fredrin is built to work — rather than one person hand-cranking one branch for 48 hours.

Still being settled

The honest list. We'd rather leave these blank than fill them in and change them later.

Dates and length
A weekend, most likely. The calendar isn't fixed yet, and we'd rather post nothing than post a date we move.
Online, in person, or both
Remote entry is a given. Whether there's a room attached to it is still open.
Prizes and judging
Who judges, what they weigh, and what the winners get are all being worked out.
How to enter
Registration isn't open. When it is, it opens here first.

Nothing is stopping you from starting early — Fredrin runs the way the weekend will.
