A backlog, not just what's running
Conductor shows you the workspaces you started. Fredrin holds the work you haven't started yet too — a backlog, a planning column, a review column — so the board is where you decide what to run next, not just a window onto what is already running.
The PR comes back to the card
Both tools end with a change you review. In Fredrin the pull request and its CI status live on the ticket, so a red check is visible on the board and merging the PR closes the ticket — instead of tracking that state in GitHub separately.
Not Mac-only, and not solo-only
Conductor is a macOS app with no published team tier. Fredrin runs on macOS and Windows, and its Team plan puts several people on the same board — so the work is shared rather than sitting in one person's dock.

You want those parallel runs to sit on a board with a backlog and a review column, PR and CI status on every card, and teammates on the same board — or you're on Windows, where Conductor doesn't run.

- Is Fredrin a Conductor alternative?
- Yes, and they overlap more than most pairs on this site: both run several coding agents at once, each in its own git worktree, on your own machine, on a subscription you already pay for. The difference is the surface around them. Conductor is a Mac app organised around the workspaces you have running; Fredrin is a kanban board organised around tickets, where each ticket carries its branch, its pull request and its CI status.
- Does Conductor have a kanban board?
- Not a backlog-to-review kanban. Conductor's main surface lists the workspaces you've started so you can see what each agent is doing and review its changes. Fredrin's surface is a board with columns, so work that hasn't started yet lives there too.
- Can I use Fredrin on Windows?
- Yes. Fredrin runs on macOS 13+ and Windows 10+ (x64). Conductor is macOS-only. Neither supports Linux today — Fredrin's Linux build is on the roadmap.
- Is Conductor cheaper than Fredrin?
- Today, yes — Conductor is free and you bring your own Claude or Codex subscription, and Fredrin has a free tier with paid plans above it. We'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. What you get for the paid plan is the board, PR and CI status on the card, and a Team plan several people can share (as of July 2026; check both sites for current terms).
